At Home Face Masks
Achieving healthy, glowing skin doesn't always require a trip to the spa or pricey skincare products. Here are my 4 favorite at-home face masks!
Avocado and Honey Moisturizing Mask:
This moisturizing mask is a powerhouse for dull, dry skin. Avocados are rich in omega fatty acids and vitamins, providing nourishment, while honey hydrates and soothes with its antibacterial properties. Yogurt adds a touch of exfoliation, leaving your skin with a fresh-faced glow.
Ingredients:
1/2 Avocado
2 tsp organic, raw honey (preferably Manuka honey)
2 tsp plain yogurt (full-fat for extra dry skin)
Directions:
Mash the ripe avocado into a creamy pulp.
Add honey and yogurt, mixing until smooth.
Apply liberally to a clean face (and neck, if desired).
Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse off with water.
Pro Tip: Use pure Manuka honey for best results. If you prefer, high-quality raw, unprocessed honey is a suitable alternative.
Turmeric Facial For Glowing Skin:
Turmeric, known as the golden spice, is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Paired with chickpea flour and milk, this mask reduces inflammation, exfoliates gently, and leaves your skin with a radiant glow.
Ingredients:
1 spoonful chickpea flour
1/2 teaspoon pure turmeric (preferably organic)
2 teaspoons milk
A few drops of Manuka honey (optional)
Directions:
Mix chickpea flour with turmeric and add enough raw milk to make a paste.
Apply a thin layer to your face.
Leave on for 10-15 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.
Calming Cucumber Yogurt Facial:
For dewy, refreshed, and calm skin, try this cooling cucumber mask. Cucumbers are naturally soothing, and yogurt provides gentle exfoliation while improving skin tone. Honey adds nourishment, making this mask a go-to for reducing irritation and puffiness.
Ingredients:
1/2 cucumber, pureed
2 tbsp Plain Yogurt
2 tsp raw organic honey (preferably Manuka honey)
Directions:
Combine and mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
Apply the mask to a clean face and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
Rinse off with lukewarm water.
Pro Tip: Refrigerate the pureed mixture for a few minutes before application for an extra cooling treat.
Milk and Honey Hydrating Mask:
Say goodbye to dull, dry skin with this hydrating mask. Milk's lactic acid gently exfoliates, while aloe and honey boost hydration. This combination results in a fresh and glowing complexion.
Ingredients:
Milk
Aloe Vera gel
Honey
Directions:
Mix equal parts milk, aloe vera gel, and honey.
Apply the mask to your face and let it work its magic.
Rinse off to reveal moisturized and rejuvenated skin.
